Tina Johnson and Angela Goodman curate 26 women entrepreneurs into a guide to building a business - and a life - without doing it alone, launching Sept. 25

ASHBURN, CA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Building Freedom: A Roadmap for Women Beginning Their Entrepreneurial Journey (Aurora Corialis Publishing), curated by Tina R. Johnson and Angela M. Goodman, officially launches September 25, 2026, at the Women's CEO Summit Intensive in Ashburn, Virginia. Purchase information will be released September 25.

Women often start businesses seeking greater freedom, only to find they've become the most overworked employee in their own company. Spanning 36 chapters across five sections - from foundations and legal setup, to sales and marketing, to operations, mindset, and resilience - Building Freedom brings together the lessons, strategies, and hard-won experience of 26 accomplished women entrepreneurs, curated by Johnson and Goodman into a single, practical guide. Every chapter pairs real-world lessons with a complimentary companion worksheet, so readers can act on what they learn immediately. At the heart of the book is a simple promise: you may be building your own business, but you don't have to build it alone.

Goodman and Johnson's partnership began with an unplanned phone call and grew into a business collaboration: Goodman hired Johnson's company, JP Events & Consulting, to run logistics for a large Nashville event, and Johnson later brought Goodman in to guest-teach cash-flow strategy at her Women's CEO Business School. As the two grew closer, they discovered a shared dream of creating a practical business book for women, drawing on their own experience contributing to the collaborative book Course Corrected: It's Not a Pivot, It's Your Path. That shared vision gave them the confidence to build Building Freedom together.

“Our vision for Building Freedom was to create the book we wish we’d had when we started - an honest, practical business building guide that helps women move forward with confidence. My hope is that readers walk away believing they can build a successful business without sacrificing the life they want.” said Angela Goodman, founder of Aligning Perspective LLC and co-lead to Building Freedom.

“Building Freedom is the book I wish I had when I was starting out. It brings together the experiences of 26 women who have already walked this road. My hope is that every woman who reads it feels less alone, more confident, and better equipped with a roadmap for building a business and a life that leads to freedom,” said Tina Johnson, founder of the multi-award-winning The CEO Woman and co-lead to Building Freedom.

The book's official launch coincides with the Women's CEO Summit Intensive, produced by Johnson's company, The CEO Woman, at The Barn at Brambleton in Ashburn, Virginia - where Johnson will open the day as main-stage speaker. A launch party will follow on September 30 at 4 p.m., also at The Barn at Brambleton, bringing together readers, contributors, and the community to celebrate the book's debut. Fifty percent of ticket proceeds from the September 30 event will benefit BetterALife, a Northern Virginia 501(c)(3) working to end childhood hunger while strengthening the education and life skills children need to thrive - with Johnson and Goodman presenting BetterALife a $1,000 check at the event.

"Being the benefactor of Building Freedom means so much to BetterALife. Every purchase helps further our mission of providing children with food, education, and mentorship. Each turn of the pages in this remarkable book turns into hope and opportunity for a child,” said Elizabeth M. Ford, founder of BetterALife.

Tickets for the Women's CEO Summit Intensive are available at womensceosummit.com, with $50 off using code BOOK50 while tickets remain. More information on Building Freedom, including where to purchase starting September 25, will be available at BuildingFreedomBook.com.
